Job: Camp monitor

Duties

  • Lead and supervise children (8 to 17 years old) ;
  • Plan and prepare activities ;
  • Participate in nautical training and activities prior to camp ;
  • Ensure the safety of the campers and provide first aid in emergency situations ;
  • Any other related tasks.

Terms of Employment

Education level: College, student job

Qualifications: First aid certification or valid C.P.R.

Related experience: Animation experience

Requirements: We are looking for a reliable, versatile person who is able to exercise good judgement. The candidate must be familiar with, and/or have an interest in, nautical activities such as sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, etc.

Language: French

Salary: $405 per week

Number of hours per week: Varied schedule

Duties

  • Ensure the camp runs smoothly ;
  • Train the monitors prior to camp ;
  • Prepare the activity schedule ;
  • Ensure the safety of the campers and provide first aid in emergency situations ;

Qualifications: First aid certification or valid C.P.R.

Related experience: previous summer camp work experience

Requirements: We are looking for a reliable, versatile person who is able to exercise good judgement. The candidate must be familiar with, and/or have an interest in, nautical activities such as sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, etc. Furthermore, the person should have strong leadership skills.

Language: French

Salary: 550$ per week

Number of hours per week: Varied schedule

  • Interpret the natural environment of the Magdalen Islands ;
  • Assemble, inspect and clean necessary equipment and accessories ;
  • Any other related tasks.

Terms of Employment

Education level: College

Qualifications: 2nd level in sea kayaking

Related experience: at least one year of experience as a guide

Requirements: We are looking for a reliable, versatile person who is able to exercise good judgment. Sea kayaking knowledge and experience are required. A driver's license is required.

Language: French - English (an asset)

Salary: $12/hour

Number of hours per week: Up to 40 hours

Start and end dates: June to August 2017

Other important information:
Lodging available (wooden tent): $50/week
Meal plan available: $15/day – 5 days/week
It is possible to cook your own meals.
